At Collins Lake Ranch we are fortunate to have the support of many generous grantors and donors. In this blog we want to pay special thanks to the New Mexico Outdoor Recreation Division. Over the past two years they have awarded us close to $200,000 in grants!!! Most of that has gone to improving our infrastructure with new trails, outdoor education facilities and campground improvements. We are proud that the staff of ORD recognizes the importance of providing access to the great outdoors for underserved areas such as the Mora Valley. They have also provided funding for the unique Outdoor Summer Reading Program that brought Mora students to the Ranch. These kids had so much fun with various projects and activities that they didn’t even realize they were learning.
Over the past three years ORD has awarded over $20,000,000 to hundreds of programs throughout New Mexico, expanding the outdoor recreation economy and getting kids and adults outside in nature. More information about this great work can be found on their website, NMOutside.com
