Steve and the entire staff of Collins Lake Ranch have identified a wide range of services that the Ranch can provide for our community. But these ideas are nothing unless we can find dedicated, hard-working individuals that can implement them (and help create new ones). We have a wide range of staffing needs with one common quality – they are all very fulfilling jobs that help make the world a better place.
Pay and Benefits
We offer competitive wages and several benefits, including paid-time off and a matching retirement savings plan. We offer both part-time and full-time employment and can usually design a work schedule that meets your needs. The biggest benefit though is the satisfaction of helping individuals lead a more productive and engaging life. As long as you bring a big heart, we can train you on all other aspects of the job.
Staff Housing
We recognize that it is often difficult to find comfortable, affordable housing in the area, particularly in the aftermath of the wildfires. To help prospective employees, we have developed a staff housing center where we rent small casitas for short-term or long-term living. Each casita has a bedroom, kitchenette and living area. They are insulated and heated with full electric service. We have also created a main center where we have a full kitchen, communal dining and living area, as well as bath, shower and laundry facilities. Each casita can accommodate a single employee or a couple. Like the rest of the Ranch, we ask that you adhere to our no drugs and alcohol policy and that you are respectful of your neighbors.
Volunteers
Not ready to make a commitment to work at the Ranch? We also need volunteers to help ease the load on our regular employees. Please bring your skills and interests to the Ranch and we’ll make sure we find a way to include you in our journey.
Interns
We are working with Highlands University to create intern positions that allow students to gain real-world experience in social work. For undergraduates, this consists of working and training as a Direct Support Professional. Graduate students may get training in the counseling and behavioral health aspects of our business. Generally, we can tailor a program that will allow you to grow in your chosen profession in a beautiful setting. We hope to expand our internships to the University of New Mexico and New Mexico State University in the future. We also hope that these intern positions lead to full-time employment for those students that want to continue working at the Ranch.
