A few years after we opened for business, we began work on the development of a campground area that would accommodate younger individuals, both with and without disabilities. This was fostered in large part by the experiences Alex had when he was younger. Getting children outdoors in nature is such an important issue and the Ranch provides the perfect setting. This program has expanded significantly over the years and now encompasses a range of educational programs in addition to the original recreational focus.

SOMA Days!
SOMA stands for Science, Outdoor, Music, and Art, but we do so much more than just that at SOMA Days! Drawing off somatic concepts of education, students use their senses to engage with curriculum. That might be smelling the dry forest, searching for interesting textures, or listening and copying the sounds of birds. These somatic experiences mixed with cultural teachings create lasting, meaningful education for our students. Come join for our next one!
