Traditionally, our disabled clients have needed a wide range of therapeutic services. Being a small rural community, there are very few providers and it is difficult to entice therapists to travel here to serve such a small population.
To alleviate this problem, we have come up with a new model for the Ranch. First, we plan to build a new Therapy and Wellness Center that offers providers a place to work for the short time they are in Mora. Rather than paying for a full-time lease, they can rent an office at the Center for as little as one day a month. Second, we hope to offer the services to all community members, not just our residential clients. This would create a larger pool of customers for the providers and would make their visit to Mora more productive.
While therapy can help mend a physical or emotional problem, we also want to offer services that help people improve their wellness and quality of life. This will include yoga, meditation, nutrition and other healing arts.
